L’Ancora 312 Kera-teak Seahorse Vase

L’Ancora 312 Kera-teak Seahorse Vase

Nice seahorse vase made of white clay designed by Sef Canjels made by L’Ancora Kroon, Blerick the Netherlands.
A handmade design in sgraffito technique of a colourful seahorse and a seastar. The sgraffito illustration is made in smooth lines and shows craftsmanship and composition.  The colours are precisely between the lines, in thick glossy glazes.  The interiour is in a white tin glaze.  Kera-teak is the name of the matte wooden engobe background glaze. There is a 5cm half-round crack at the edge.  It is a vase for the Dutch tourist industry, but even the word ‘Noordwijk a(aan) /Zee’ is carved very precisely.
The base is signed by hand in white paint 312.
The condition is great.
