Italy G.81 Fratelli Fanciullacci Etruscan Bowl
Italy G.81 Fratelli Fanciullacci Etruscan Bowl
Big bowl handmade of red clay by Fratelli Fanciullacci, Montelupo Italy.
A fantastic design of an Etruscan chariot, two horses and an archer. Skillfully painted in black and white against a turquoise background, with a yellow and orange edge. The glaze has a porcelain-like gloss. The black line has a blueish-white shadow, from flowing into the wet white glaze. There is a big chip at the outside edge. The label on the base is from a Dutch retailer ‘Hoyng Jungerhans’ ‘Eindhoven Tilburg’.
This signature is mentioned in the book 'Alla Moda' page 217.
